ABOUT MAMAKIM....
 MaMaKim has been playing guitar and writing songs since the age of 12. She has spent most of her adult years in Bali & is now based in South Australia.
While her Island life has been idyllic, there have been trying times. Her colorful life more than qualifies her to write with a soulful pen, pouring emotion, happy and not so happy, into her music. MaMaKim has the ability to bring you to tears and then have you belly laughing within minutes. She brings current issues to the table with her music, as well as lifts the spirits of the audience as they sing along with her.

It's difficult to classify MaMaKims music as a single genre, as her songs traverse soulful blues, to country and folk. 
​MaMaKim has performed regularly in cafes, restaurants and art spaces, as well as the occasional festival. She generously donates her time and talent to help raise funds for those less fortunate.
While she has a folio of her own songs, MaMaKim also performs a selection of cover songs that she has arranged to suite her own funky, folky, blues style

  • We attended a performance by MaMa Kim called “The Lady & The Blues” at The Griya in Amed. We instantly got hooked by her Bonnie Tyler-type of voice.   • Kim Patra aka MamaKim...What can I say... If music could physically feed the soul, MaMaKim would never go hungry. As a musician myself, I can honestly say it is a blessing to witness a woman with such passion for her talent and extremely talented she is. It is always a pleasure to watch MaMaKim perform. She is professional and adaptive. Her repertoire ranges from Blues, to modern, with her own twist on the classics, original material and covers to fill your heart. I've had the pleasure of watching her adapt for special occasions including Christmas carols and a yoga retreat opening ceremonies too. You can see the time she's put in to building her specific sets to match her audience. I have also had the pleasure of witnessing (and joining) Kim jamming off the cuff and this also is flawless. A true natural. With the use of her loop pedals, effect box and various other instruments including harmonica, Kim can transform a one woman set into a complete show and best of all she does it so effortlessly.
